Dripping Paint Manicure

What you'll be needing:

A pair of hands (sorry for failing at being funny :P), top coat, base coat (optional), a base colour (I used white), 5 or 1 of your favourite colour, dotting tool/hair pin, paper, cotton bud/q-tip & nail polish remover.

(I apologize if the steps are not clear but I will try to include a step by step picture tutorial the next time. Thank you for all your support!)

1. Hey lovelies! Welcome back! :D Okay, lets start off with a clean nail and apply a base coat/top coat on all of your nails. 

2. Apply two coats of your desired base colour. Be sure to have it 100% dry in between coats.

*Tip- You can apply the first coat thinly then put on the second coat.

3. Now for the fun part, drip a drop of your desired colour for the tip onto a paper and use your dotting tool/hair pin to pick up some colour and create four dots on your nail, leaving about 1/4 space in between your cuticle and nail. You can put it in any sequence you like. For mine I did it up, down, up & down.

*Tip- Check out Make Your Own Nail Dotting Tool to make your own dotting tool.

4. Then make a straight line toward your nail's free edge. Now dot/paint on more polish to the tip to cover up any spaces . 

5. Repeat with other colour on other nails. Lastly, get a cotton bud/q-tip dipped in nail polish remover to touch up and viola, you're ready for summer! <3

Nailspiration, brought to you by One of My Favourite Things~ :)

Ombre Nails

1. There are two ways to get this awesome manicure, (a) by getting 5 nail polishes in the same colour but in different shades (light to dark) or (b) the inexpensive way which is mixing white/black to your desired colour polish. ;)


2. Always start off with 1 layer of nail strengthener/clear nail polish/top coat to protect your nails. 


3. If you chose to use method (a) go ahead and apply the colours from light to dark.
 *Tip- always start from your pinky to your thumb to avoid smearing it when painting your other nails.
       - For the first coat, apply it thinly and apply another coat after it dries for a even coloured nail.


4. If you chose method (b), start off with your middle finger and paint it with your desired colour. Then drip a drop of that nail polish on a paper and drip the same amount of black nail polish onto the paper. Mix it up and you're ready to paint it unto your ring finger. If the polish is not sufficient to cover your nails, you can always go back and repeat adding the desired colour and black.
*Tip- Use a brush/old nail polish brush you wouldn't which you wouldn't mind mixing with and also to apply on your nails.


5. For the pinky, repeat step 4. but add more black until you are satisfied with the colour.


6. Repeat step 4. but this time with white for your 2nd finger and repeat again for the thumb.


7. After you're done wait for at least 1/2 hour and then apply your top coat for shine and protection. Be careful not to smear it. Have fun! :)
